{"id":48,"date":"2022-01-24T00:08:04","date_gmt":"2022-01-24T00:08:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.evaluand.com\/?p=48"},"modified":"2024-04-14T12:50:33","modified_gmt":"2024-04-14T12:50:33","slug":"njit-omic-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.evaluand.com\/?p=48","title":{"rendered":"NJIT OMIC Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Jersey Institute of Technology Opportunity Meets Innovation Challenge Grant Evaluation<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Evaluand provided external evaluation support to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.njit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Jersey Institute of Technology<\/a> (NJIT) for a project funded by an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/governor\/news\/news\/562021\/20210712a.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Opportunity Meets Innovation Challenge<\/a> (OMIC) grant from the New Jersey Secretary of Education&#8217;s office, with support from the Governor&#8217;s Emergency Education Relief Fund. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/news.njit.edu\/14-million-federal-grant-launches-njit-forensic-science-initiative\" target=\"_blank\">Forensic Science Initiative<\/a> (FSI) leveraged partnerships with the City of Newark and Newark Board of Education to improve, implement, and evaluate a pathway to college through out-of-school time forensic science learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Evaluand supported NJIT&#8217;s efforts through a flexible research agenda- and capacity-building approach, for execution of a Design and Development Research study consistent with standards defined by the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Education <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/pubs\/2013\/nsf13126\/nsf13126.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Common Guidelines for Education Research and Development<\/a>.
